TRINITY FERGUSON

When I first laid my eyes on Victoria I immediately fell in love. We met in our fencing class and that was when I knew we would spend the rest of our lives together. Twas years ago, tonight we feast and party as we have been together for a full moon. Victoria loves stew meat, bread and butter, and wine. Which is why I have traveled into town to fetch my Victoria's favorite dishes. After days of searching through town to please Victoria, I had gotten my hands on the food stand. As I approached the stand I noticed Victoria talking to the sir running the stand. I immediately hid behind a stone.

“This can't be?” I thought to myself.

What was my lady doing here? And why is she talking to Alexander? I knew those gents had a past but the lady knowedth I am not comfortable with her sneaking around town with that gent. Alexander was also in our fencing class and before I got the chance he had asked her to attend the opera and of course they had the best seats in the house. I am not jealous of Alexander, I just don't fancy him like the entire town does.

“At which hour will you leave Thomas to beest with I Victoria?” I overheard Alexander ask.

No! This must be some sick joke. Victoria would never leave me. We had done everything together. We had written poems together. She told me she would never leave. And she is going to leave me for Alexander? I cant- I wont accept this terrible treatment.

“Alexander, you must know I can't just simply leave Thomas. He would be devastated.” Victoria explained.

“Ugh. Fine I will deal with that sappy gent myself.” Alexander told Victoria, rolling his eyes.

What does he have that I don't? Sure he had the newest robes but I have the 15th century collection, what's the difference? I knoweth what to do. I am going to confront Victoria about this during our gathering tonight. But I will do it in the form of a poem, after all it's the best way for me to express myself.

My journey back home twas long because I don't own a horse or cart.

“I bet Alexander has the most expensive horse.” I thought to myself. His family was the Chestwood family. One of the wealthiest families in London. However, I'm not richer than my family, the Button’s. Though father won't allow me to useth the money til he dies.

As I walked into my home, I heareth a familiar voice. A soothing voice. I know it's Victoria. Her calming voice makes my heart melt. It is one of the many reasons I fell in love with her.

“Thomas! There you are!” Victoria exclaimed, looking a little distraught.

Before I could respond my worst enemy appeared, Alexander.

“Hello Alexander.” I say.

“Hello” Alexander responds.

“I am going to my room, I prefer to have quiet as I am writing something special for my love.” I say unfazed, before they could progress the conversation any further.

As I walk into the corridor I hear whispers, I tune them out. I museth stay focused and have my mind clear in order to write such a piece of writing. As I'm collecting my feathers and ink I begin to hear footsteps.

“Victoria please, I had asked for quiet.” I say

Before whom I thought to be my love responds I turn and lay my eyes on Alexander. Victoria behind him looked worrisome. What could this be? A confrontation on how my love isn't good enough for her? I can hear a thump in my chest pumping faster and faster and a dribble of water trickles down my cheek. I had a plan to express my feelings in a poem though t’will have to wait.

“Thomas I need to talk to yo-”

“Victoria, how could thee?” I cut her off

“I have loved you like no other and you decided to go and run off with this stuck up gent?” I yell.

Her face drops as she realizes that I have caughten light of their sick plan. I have never yelled at my love and I don't like it. Neither did Alexander because he began to walk towards me in an attempt to calm me down.

“Victoria, you can't leave me. I- I will buy you the nicest horse on the market, the finest silk dress you've ever laid your beautiful eyes on. Please, I beg you to stay with me.” I plead as I walk towards her.

Though as I walked towards her to comfort her, I noticeth Alexander was reaching for his shirt. I disregard this as I thought nothing of it. He couldn't possibly have a weapon, he knew better.

“Thomas, we can't be together. We aren't working anymore.” Victoria says.

After Victoria and I going back and forth I decide I need to follow through with my poem and change Victoria's mind to stay with me and leave thee Alexander.

As I'm sitting on my bench in my forest I hear the leaves crunch. I thought it twas a animal and continued to write my poem. Though I hear footsteps walk towards me. I knew this was coming. It was Alexander trying to get me to change my mind. I grab my feather and lick it to make it into a weapon for protection.

Though as I turn around I am met with a stabbing of the heart. It was too late for me. While I was licking my feather Alexander had reached in his cuffed shirt and grabbed his hidden dagger and stabbed me right in the heart. Though this stabbing in the heart did not hurt nearly as much as the heartbreak Victoria left me with.
