Where Are You, Childhood

Said the mother to her son,
"Come and eat your porridge, dear."
But I’m in no rush for such fun,
The situation's pretty clear.
I'd rather go outside to play,
And have a football match instead.
Than eat my porridge right away,
I’ll see if my friend's been fed.
Perhaps he’s finished with his meal,
And we can skillfully kick the ball.
Together, we share this zeal,
Our games are the best of all.
Tomorrow we will go again,
Down to the river, just us two.
To catch a pike in the glen,
Much better than candy to chew.
The mosquitoes swarm around,
Trying to bite us, it's their scheme.
But we won't fear a single sound,
We'll fish together, like a dream!
Look, it bites! Pull it fast,
I shout to my friend, don't delay.
"I’ve got it, don't help, I'll cast,
Or you’ll scare all the fish away."
So we roam, my friend and I,
From football to fishing’s call.
Soon to school, with heads held high,
To show our cleverness to all.
And at home, mom waits for us,
The dumplings ready, hot and right.
I breathe the smell with joy and trust,
No mom's better, she’s my delight!

The Suit of Love

When I was just eighteen years old,
Life was a garden in full bloom,
I wanted a girl’s hand to hold,
And joy dispelled all trace of gloom.
My energy was like a stream,
A fountain soaring to the sky,
Life moved at a pace like a dream,
I wished for my dreams to come by.
I dreamed of love, immensely grand,
And felt a woman's warm embrace,
I’d touch and kiss with tender hands,
My blood would rush in fervent race.
My youthful days were full of zest,
I soared on dreams with boundless height,
But now that joy has gone to rest,
I kiss my loves in dreams at night.
Unfading tenderness and fire,
Unyielding passion, bound by fate,
The burning love will not retire,
For love will come and set me straight.

The Scent of Love

The delight of love and hope's embrace,
In tender youth's sweet prime,
A storm in May’s blossoming place,
And nightingale's song through time.
To my gentle woman, a song I sing,
Intoxicated by love's sweet scent,
With this beautiful news I bring,
A longing for love, in harmony, sent.
One thing alone torments my heart,
To bow to her with utmost grace,
Modesty’s lessons do impart,
And love's chime I embrace.
Angels united us above,
With her, I'm struck by love.
